Overview This training presents the process of carefully and systematically examining clinical research study designs to determine the validity, relevance, and trustworthiness of a research study.

At the end of the training, participants will:
- Understand the core concepts defining evidence based medicine practice
- Appreciate the principles of EBM and critical review, and how to apply these to the different study designs
- Understand the Hierarchy of Evidence
- Know the source of bias in each study design and learn how to minimize it
- Learn how to use the checklists in evaluation study designs
