Dr. Rana Abdel Malak
PhD, NEA-BC, CGNC, FAAPM
A seasoned high profile healthcare consultant, executive, professional trainer, and educator; Dr. Rana Abdel Malak is based in Beirut, Lebanon and works on projects worldwide. PhD holder from the University of Texas, USA, with a research focus on healthcare leadership and management, and a long standing experience in acute care practice, executive leadership, and consulting. Dr. Abdel Malak is highly credentialed academically and professionally. She is dually certified by the American Board as nurse executive advanced level (NEA-BC) and by the International Council of Nurses as Global Nurse Consultant (CGNC). Recipient of many awards and honors and featured as speakers in many national, regional, and international professional venues. She is the first recognized international appraiser by American Nurses Association for nursing continuing professional development. Has an extensive operational experience in the implementation of tier one international designations and accreditations, and other breakthrough initiatives driving healthcare excellence in the Middle East.
Dr. Mark Bolden
PhD. MSc. Public Health
Dr. Mark Bolden is Chief of the Division of Outcomes and Effectiveness Research in the Department of Public Health at University of Medical College. Previously, he worked for 20 years as a family physician in private practice, obtained a Ph.D. in Health Services Research at the University of the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine (Clinical School), and served as an Associate Professor at the University of the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine (Clinical School). He is the recipient of an Investigator Award in Health Policy Research from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Dr. Mark Boden studies the organization of physician practice, the use of organized processes to improve the quality of care, and physician relations with hospitals and health plans, as well as the public and private policies that influence trainings, hospitals, and health plans.
Dr. Samaa Al Tabbah
BSc. MLT, PharmD
Dr. Samaa Al Tabbah holds a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Technology from the American University of Beirut and Pharm.D. in Clinical Pharmacy from the Lebanese American University. She is currently the co-founder and CEO of the Medical Agency for Research and Statistics (MARS). After graduation, Dr. Al Tabbah held a position as a chief pharmacist at the World Health Organization, Beirut office, then she has been involved in clinical research; more specifically, in trainings and workshops carried out at the national and regional level. She is the author of many scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals as well as a booklet titled “The Clinical Research Process from Initiation to Publication”. She is an editorial member of two peer-reviewed scientific journals and assistant Professor at University Institute for Nursing. She is lately appointed as the Global Pharmacovigilance Society Ambassador of Lebanon where she also acts as an acting board member of the society.
Dr. Thomas Roth
M.D, PhD.
Dr. Thomas Roth is Professor of Radiology at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom and Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management in Public Health at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Dr. Thomas Roth has been President of the Association of University Radiologists, the Radiology Research Alliance, and the New England Roentgen Ray Society. He is nationally and internationally known for his research evaluating the benefits, costs, and appropriate use of new medical technologies. Locally, he has been active in the development and implementation of guidelines for the appropriate use of imaging technologies. He has also led efforts at Partners HealthCare System to improve quality and safety in radiology and to develop approaches that can be used to measure and document performance improvement.
Dr. Wendy Glancy
M.D, PhD, MSc.
Dr. Wendy Glancy holds a PhD. University, a medical degree and a masters of public health degree from the Montpellier Nimes College of Medicine. Dr. Wendy Glancy has an extensive background in health care management, policy, and public health. Before joining the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH), he served as Director of the Center for Health Care Quality and Professor of Health Policy Services, and previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer and member organizations. In addition, Dr. Wendy has served as Commissioner of Health of the State of New Jersey. He has led groundbreaking work on quality and equity, as well as projects for the World Health Organization (WHO). Dr. Wendy Glancy has authored scientific articles, published two textbooks and presented numerous papers, lectures, and workshops nationally and internationally.
Ms. Zeina Mneimneh
BSN, MPH, CPHQ, MLC
Zeina Mneimneh was the Utilization Review and Quality Manager at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. She has 27 years of work experience in Healthcare Management and, Accreditation, Quality Safety, Risk Management and Utilization Management in hospitals including education, and research. She served as a secretary on several AUBMC committees and participated in the AUB initiative toward change and offered several workshops on Service Excellence. She was the Activity Director of the CPHQ workshop that was organized by the CME at AUBMC Ms. Mneimneh is currently assuming the position of Quality, accreditation and Data analyst at the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health and she is a consultant for the Quality Management department at the Lebanese American University Medical Center Ms. Mneimneh education consists of a BS degree in Nursing and a Master’s in Public Health, both from the American University of Beirut. In addition Ms. Mneimneh is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Master Lean Certified (MLC).
Dr. Sally El-Rabbah
DBA, MSc. Public Health
Dr. Sally Al-Rabbaa is a healthcare management expert, university instructor, consultant, surveyor and trainer. His focus is on the future of Healthcare Strategies, Leadership, Improvement, Metamorphic Change, Accreditation Programs as well as Medical Laboratory Sciences. Currently he is the Managing Director of Khoury General Hospital. Dr. Al-Rabbaa assumed multiple senior positions at renowned regional companies and university hospitals. He has a Doctorate in Business Administration, Master’s in Public Health and an Executive Master’s in Business Administration. He is a co-author of the book “Quality Management and Accreditation”.
Mr. Jad Harb
MSc.IB, MBA, CIS, CCNA
Capitalizing on a career that encompasses 20 years broad-based experience in Europe, Gulf Countries and the MENA Region. Mr. Harb holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Concertation Computer Information System), Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Notre Dame University, and a Master’s of Science in International Business from Kedge Business School, France. In addition to his wide Healthcare Managerial and Technical experience, Mr. Jad Has a Broad Expertise in Instruction, Since he’s a Lecturer in the Lebanese University - Faculty of Science for Masters Students, Balamand University for Masters Students, Gulf University of Science and Technology (GUST) - Kuwait, American University of Science & Education for Masters Students, Syndicate of Hospitals and Trainer in Dubai Knowledge Village for the Biggest Firms in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Gulf Countries under the Accreditation of Traccert Canada.
Ms. Cynthia Esber
MSc. Biomarketing
Cynthia Esber brings an extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, paired with a proven record in successfully managing and working with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. She last held the position of Regional Brand Manager and Brand team leader for Levant, Iran and Pakistan, where she effectively lead the lines of Anesthesia and Neonatology, winning herself and her team different high-level company awards and recognitions. She is currently a lecturer at Saint Joseph University (USJ) Faculty of Sciences, a member of its disciplinary board, a member of its alumni board, and a students’ mentor for their Master’s degree. She holds a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree from the same university in Biomarketing, as well as many certificates throughout the years. In 2016 she ventured into a new entrepreneurial challenge and is now the co-founder and Managing director of Kaila s.a.r.l
Ms. Mona Wehbe
Supply Chain Expert
Mona is an expert Supply Chain and Asset management consultant, her experience includes Supply Chain consultancy projects for the academic and private healthcare systems, as well as Banking and Finance with local and international banks. Mona was appointed as the Supply Chain Manager at the American University of Beirut (AUB and AUBMC). In this capacity, she acted as a subject matter expert in digital transformation projects in areas such as strategy formulation, goal and objective setting, organization restructuring, and policies and procedures development. Her other work experience includes managerial roles at Arab Bank PLC (Head of Private Banking and Wealth Management), Bank of Beirut and Bank Misr Liban (Branch Manager).
